How often does a writer have a character do something that is beyond their powers. Such as captain America lifting something that would be too heavy for him. And you have to get them to change it. Could you give a specific example?

Relatively rarely. Our writers tend to know how our characters’ powers work.

The toughest one is always Spider-Man’s spider-sense, which is easy to overlook and is also a story killer.
